How do I know if my home is compatible with a WASP unit?

Almost every home and structure with access to a water source is compatible with a WASP unit.

Are tools required to assemble or deploy the gutter mount system?

No, unless the structure to be protected does not have existing gutters. Then the included facia bracket can be attached as required using standard wood screws. The included facia bracket is also excellent for attaching to fences and can be easily attached to a chain link or similar fence with wire or plastic zap straps. Also, the warranty should read 1 year from date of purchase.

What type of warranty is offered with the WASP Homeowner?

All components of the WASP Homeowner are warrantied for a period of one year from the date of delivery of the system.

How much does the unit weigh?

The standard WASP In A Box weighs less than 100 lbs.

What are the dimensions of the unit?

The standard WASP In A Box is 36” long by 18” wide by 18” deep.

What area can the WASP In A Box protect?

Most city hydrant water connections can support over 6000 feet of line with up to 120 sprinkler heads. This amount of line could provide protection for an area greater than Yankee Stadium…twice.

I have my own hose, will it be compatible with the WASP In A Box?

All WASP units can be ordered to match your existing line and connections, generally at no additional cost.

Does the WASP In A Box provide roof protection?

The protection parameters are almost unlimited. Optional sprinkler heads can be deployed at ground level which can easily reach the roof of a 2 story structure. Conversely, sprinklers can be individually deployed on the roof to be protected when needed. Finally, structures in high risk locations can have sprinkler heads permanently installed on roof tops with quick connect lines available at ground level to provide quick and safe deployment in emergency situations.

Does the WASP In A Box attach to all types of fire hydrants?

All WASP units can be ordered to match your existing hydrant connections, generally at no additional cost.

How long can the WASP In A Box run for?

With the standard solar panel deployed the WASP In A Box can maintain functionality for an indefinite period of time. Without the solar panel, the battery power alone will provide functionality for approximately 7 days of operations.

What type of training is offered for the WASP In A Box?

The WASP In A Box is extremely easy to operate. Live, online training is available on a monthly basis or at the request of the buyer for new staff as needed.

How long will the unit take to deploy?

2 operators can generally deploy 1,500 feet of line with 30 sprinkler heads in under an hour.

Can the unit be moved with the holding tank full of water?

No. While easily able to handle the weight of the water in a stationary position, the holding tank must be emptied prior to movement of any of the WASP All Hazards units.

What is the recommended amount of line and sprinklers?

Depending on terrain, the WASP All Hazards provides optimal performance up to 3,000 feet of line with up to 60 sprinkler heads.

I have my own hose; can the unit be sold without hose?

Yes. All WASP units can be ordered to match your existing line and connections.

Is any other firefighting equipment included with the WASP All Hazards?

No, although we are happy to obtain pricing on additional fire equipment at your request. WASP is considered a dealer for many types of equipment, including pumps, hose and connections.

Yes. Skid mounting does not affect the price of the All Hazards Industrial WASP.

Can the unit be lifted by a helicopter?

Yes. In standard form the WASP All Hazards Industrial weighs slightly less than 10,700lbs. Skid mounted, the unit weighs in at less than 6,000lbs.
